About us
The Department of Biochemistry is located on the 3rd floor in the faculty block of the Government Medical College, Nagapattinam. Biochemistry is an ever advancing branch of Medicine, which deals with chemical processes within the human body and biochemical alterations during the various diseases. Knowledge of this subject is the key to understand the cellular and molecular events within the human body.
Department of Biochemistry is a basic science department, actively involved in teaching and training of medical students and providing lab services to patientsthrough clinical Biochemistry.

Department has 1 Demonstration Rooms with well equipped technology and has modern facilities to take classes with LCD Projectors and Audio-Visual equipment . It has a Capacity of 60 students at a time.

This Lab is well equipped with modern facilities and accommodates 50 students at a time.
